Varsity Defensive Backs

Coach Joshua Cassidy is entering his 1^st year as the Longhorns Defensive Back Coach.  Coach Cassidy comes to us from Naples High school in Naples Florida where he served as the Varsity Defensive Backs Coach, Recruiting Coordinator, Kickoff and Kickoff Return Coordinator. 

 During his tenure at Naples High Cassidy coached 3 players to 1^st team All State Honors; 1 player to 2^nd team All State Honors, 1 player to an Honorable Mention All State Honors; 3 players to 1^st team All District Honors; 1 player to an Honorable Mention All District Honor; and 1 player to the News Press Defensive Player of the year Honor. 

 With that in mind, Coach Cassidy admits that his greatest professional accomplishment will be serving the Carlton J. Kell community and the relationships he will work to establish along the way.  Along with his coaching responsibilities at Kell High, Joshua will teach weight training in the physical education department.  Prior to his professional career, Cassidy earned his Master’s degree in 2004 from Virginia Tech and his Bachelor’s degree from Liberty University in 2002.  Coach Cassidy is married to his best friend, Alissa Cassidy (333).
