Kirk Cross is entering his 8th season as a Longhorn football coach. Coach Cross is from Pigeon Forge TN. (Go Vols!) He played defensive tackle for Carson Newman College with the Eagles winning three national championships during his years there. (1983, 1984, and 1986)

This is Coach Cross 25th year in coaching. He previously worked as a graduate assistant for one year at Carson Newman; 11 years at Wheeler High as an offensive line coach and offensive coordinator, and was the head coach at Pigeon Forge High for 4 years. Coach Cross teaches Forensic science, Anatomy and Biology at Kell.

The most important thing in Coach Cross’ life is his family. He has been married to Connie for 19 wonderful years. His son Seth is 17 and will be a senior at Kell, his daughter Taylor is 14 and will be 9th grader at Kell this year. Other than sports and spending time with family, Coach Cross may be one of the best trout fishermen in the state of Georgia!
